Launching a strategy
A launch is one transaction from the launch wizard. You choose what the vault buys and how fast its bid climbs; Pons creates the token and its curve, and the vault earns from the first trade. Step by step: the guide.
Who can launch
| Kind | Open to | Limit per target |
|---|---|---|
| NFT strategy | any wallet, on any ERC-721 collection | none per collection |
| Token strategy | any wallet, on any ERC-20 token | none per token |
A target cannot be swapped after launch, so check the address before you sign. Any collection or token can take a strategy: the team opened targets to everyone on 29 September 2026, for good. Nobody reviews a target before its strategy starts, so read what the strategy page says about it: a red line when OpenSea has not verified the collection, and one when the launcher owns the target's contract.
What you choose
- Kind
- NFT or token; it never changes.
- The target
- What the vault will buy: search a collection or token by name, or paste its address. The wizard checks it on chain: a collection has to be ERC-721, and a token has to be an ERC-20 with a supply and not an NFT collection. Any ERC-721 collection can be named, but the wizard warns when OpenSea has neither verified nor approved it, since copies of known collections exist.
- Name and ticker
- Up to 64 characters, and up to 16 letters and digits. Robinhood Chain's brand rules keep “Robinhood” and nicknames of the network out of names, tickers and descriptions, and the wizard checks for them.
- Logo
- A square PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, at least 1000 × 1000 px and up to 4 MB. Pons shows it on the token page.
- Description and links
- Optional.
- Bid growth
- The bid's hourly rise, from 0.0036 to 36 ETH, with 0.5 filled in. Aim for a rate that meets the target's price within hours rather than weeks.
What is set for you
- The ceiling
- The most the vault pays for one piece or one bag: the factory's default when the vault is created, 1 ETH at the start of the beta. The wizard shows it as “Bid ceiling”.
- The markup
- Everything the vault buys is listed at 1.2 times what it paid.
- The burn pace
- Passes of up to 1 ETH, at least 5 minutes apart, within a burn budget that refills over the hour.
- Bag size
- For token strategies, one thousandth of the target's supply.
- The Pons terms
- A 10% creator tax paid to the vault, Pons' own buyback off, and ETH as the currency. The supply, the curve and the pool are Pons' standard ones: see the curve.
- The cost
- Pons' launch fee plus gas, shown before you sign. The launch is pinned to the Pons terms the wizard read: if Pons changes its fees or curve before it lands, nothing is launched. See fees.
After launch
The token trades on its Pons curve from the moment it exists, and every trade pays the creator tax to the vault. The bid begins rising from zero straight away, and the vault makes its first purchase whenever a seller accepts it. Your 10% as the launcher starts with the first trade and waits in the vault until you claim it.
Attach a token you already launched
A token already on Pons can get a vault too, if your wallet still receives its creator rewards. It also has to trade against ETH, have Pons' buyback off, carry a creator tax of at least 1%, and not have had its graduation rescued by Pons (see graduation). You sign twice: once to create the vault, and once on Pons to hand the rewards to it. The handover is permanent; the vault has no way to give them back. The token keeps the creator tax it launched with. Step by step: the guide.
Who can change what
The launcher gets 10% of the rewards and no settings. What can be tuned after launch belongs to the mystrat multisig, inside fixed limits, and none of it reaches the vault's money.
| What | Who can change it |
|---|---|
| Kind, target, token, name and ticker | nobody |
| The 80/10/10 split and the 0.5% pass reward | nobody |
| Where the launcher's share goes | nobody; it is the launching wallet |
| Bid growth | the multisig, between 0.0036 and 36 ETH an hour; lowered at once, raised only 48 hours after a public proposal |
| Ceiling | the multisig, between 1 and 100 ETH; lowered at once, raised only 48 hours after a public proposal |
| Markup | the multisig, downward only, never below 1.05× |
| Burn pace | the multisig: 0.01 to 1 ETH a pass, 12 seconds to 1 hour apart; the burn budget's hourly refill is fixed |
| New launches | the multisig can pause them; running strategies carry on |
| Which collections and tokens take new strategies | nobody since 29 September 2026: any collection or token, for good |
| Marketplaces NFT vaults buy through | the multisig, adding one only 48 hours after a public proposal; any change starts every NFT bid again from zero. Seaport today |
| Where Pons sends the creator rewards | the owner of Pons, after 3 days' notice |
| The vault's ETH, shelf and burn queue | nobody can take them |
