Glossary
Every term these pages use, A to Z, with the section that explains it in full. The Index tab lists the same terms.
A
attach
Giving a vault to a token you already launched on Pons, if your wallet still receives its creator rewards. The handover of the rewards to the vault is permanent.

B
bag
The unit a token strategy buys and resells: one thousandth of the target's total supply, measured when the vault is created. The vault only deals in whole bags.
Read: The bag
bid
The price the vault offers right now for one piece or one bag. It rises every second, and it never goes past the ceiling or the treasury.
Read: The bid
See also: bid growth, ceiling, treasury
bid growth
How fast the bid rises, from 0.0036 to 36 ETH an hour. The launcher picks it at launch; the multisig can lower it at once and raise it only 48 hours after a public proposal.

burn budget
What burn passes may spend: one largest pass the market allows, refilled by that much over each hour. A pass runs at its full size once the budget covers it, so a long queue burns at about one largest pass an hour.
Read: The burn
See also: burn pass, burn pace, burn queue
burn pace
The limits on burn passes: 0.01 to 1 ETH a pass (1 ETH to start) and 12 seconds to 1 hour between passes (5 minutes to start). The multisig sets them inside those bounds; the burn budget's hourly refill is fixed.

burn pass
One buy of the strategy token on Pons, paid from the burn queue, with the tokens sent to the dead address. No pass spends more than 1 ETH or more than the market under the token can take, and whoever runs it keeps 0.5%.

C
ceiling
The most the vault pays for one piece or one bag: the factory's default when the vault is created, 1 ETH at the start of the beta. The multisig can set it from 1 to 100 ETH, lowering it at once and raising it only 48 hours after a public proposal.

claim
Paying out the launcher's or the platform's share from the vault. Any wallet can trigger it, and the ETH always goes to the address it is owed to.
Read: Claim launcher rewards
copy
A token or collection whose name reads like a verified one at another address. The app marks it “Not the verified …” in red; compare the address before you buy.
Read: Collections and tokens
creator tax
The charge Pons adds to every buy and sell of a token and pays to its vault: 10% for tokens launched through mystrat. An attached token keeps its own, from 1% to 10%.

curve
The bonding curve Pons creates for a new token, its only market until it holds 4.2 ETH. The vault earns from the curve's first trade.

D
dead address
The address burnt tokens go to. Tokens sent there stay there, out of circulation.
Read: The burn
See also: burn pass, strategy token
G
graduation
The point where a token's curve holds 4.2 ETH and stops trading. Pons then opens the token's Uniswap v4 pool at the price where the curve ended.

H
harvest
Collecting a token's creator rewards from Pons into its vault, which the keeper does every 5 minutes. After graduation the rewards arrive whenever Pons' own operator runs.
Read: The treasury
See also: keeper, treasury, creator tax
K
keeper
A program that calls the vault's steps on a timer, from a wallet with no special rights. Any other wallet may call the same steps.
Read: Who runs it
L
launch wizard
The page in the app that launches a strategy in one transaction. You choose the kind, the target, the name, the logo and the bid growth.
Read: Launch a strategy
See also: launcher, target, bid growth
launcher
The wallet that launched or attached a strategy. It gets 10% of what reaches the vault and no settings, and the address never changes.
locker
The Pons contract that holds the pool position and the leftover tokens from graduation. Pons' published code has no function for taking either out.

See also: graduation, pool
M
markup
How much the shelf asks over what the vault paid: 1.2 times at launch. The multisig can lower it, never raise it, and never below 1.05 times.
Read: The shelf
multisig
The mystrat wallet that can tune bid growth, the ceiling, the markup and the burn pace within fixed limits, choose the marketplaces NFT vaults buy through, and pause new launches. Raising a bid or adding a marketplace takes 48 hours' public notice, and it cannot touch a vault's ETH, shelf or burn queue.
Read: Who can change what
P
piece
One NFT from the collection an NFT strategy buys. The vault buys pieces one at a time and puts each on its shelf.
Read: How a purchase happens
Pons
The token launchpad on Robinhood Chain. It creates every strategy token with its curve and its pool, and charges the fee and the creator tax on each trade.
Read: Where it runs
Pons' fee
1% of every trade on a Pons curve or pool. Pons keeps 0.3 points and passes 0.7 to the vault, as recorded when the token launches.
Read: On every trade
See also: creator tax, Pons
pool
The Uniswap v4 pool a token trades in after graduation. Pons runs it, and the fee and the tax are the same as on the curve.
Read: The pool
See also: graduation, locker, curve
S
shelf
The vault's list of everything it bought, each at its cost times the markup. Paying exactly that price moves the piece or bag to your wallet in the same transaction.
Read: The shelf
See also: markup, burn queue, piece, bag
strategy token
A plain Pons token whose creator rewards go to a strategy vault. Holding it gives no share of the vault, no payouts and no vote.
Read: The token
See also: vault, creator tax, dead address
T
target
What a vault buys: one ERC-721 collection for an NFT strategy, one ERC-20 token for a token strategy. It is chosen at launch and never changes.
Read: What you choose
treasury
The strategy's 80% of what reaches the vault, which the vault spends on the bid and nothing else.
Read: The treasury
V
vault
The contract that receives a strategy token's creator rewards and does the strategy's job: bid, shelf and burns. It needs no top-ups and no operator.
Read: How it works
See also: treasury, shelf, burn queue
verified
The check next to a token, collection or strategy: the address is the real one, not a copy, going by mystrat's list of canonical addresses and, for collections, OpenSea's verified or approved status. It says nothing about whether the contract can be changed.
